The Tree By The Sea

This beautiful tree was carved by a gifted tree sculptor called Tommy Craggs who came to Ireland to breathe life back into an old dying cypress tree some years ago. Tommy uses a chainsaw to create his living sculptures. It took him several months to carve this tree and while he was doing so, he lived in The Red Stables in Saint Anne’s Park, Raheny, Dublin. The tree is also known locally as the Tree of Life.

In the childrens picture book The Tree by the Sea, a fantasy book based on this tree, you can whisper your wishes into the tree.
